We said a bittersweet goodbye earlier this week to a dear lady from the Tokio church.  Priscilla had been struggling over the past months with various illnesses and passed away last week.  The beautiful part of her passing is that she had a strong and sincere faith in Jesus and it brings great joy and comfort to know that she is with Him now.  She was a powerful prayer warrior and a pillar for her family.  On the front of the funeral bulletin was one of her prayers (in her own handwriting) that said, “This is my prayer every day, that one of my children would be saved by the grace of God.”  What an honor for us to continue this faithful prayer for Priscilla’s family!  Please ask the Lord to comfort them as they mourn and to make Himself real to them.  Also ask the Lord to give each of them a desire to know Him and love Him the way that Priscilla did.

There are three other funerals on the reservation this week, so please keep those families in your prayers, too.  There are so many people who are hurting and don’t know where to turn.  While you pray for these families, please also pray for the people who DO know the Lord.  Pray that the Lord would give us opportunties to share the truth, love, hope, and comfort that we have in Christ.
