“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you FREE…”             John 8:32

This verse came to mind the other night as I drove back to my new “home” in Oberon.  I was driving across the Spirit Lake Reservation and tears came to my eyes as the Lord reminded me of the many people here who are held in bondage by various addictions, fear, and confusion.  I am so thankful, humbled, and incredibly excited about the opportunities to share truth here on the reservation!

Much has been happening . . . I moved into my room at Stensland’s almost a month ago and have been working a couple hours a day as a teacher’s aide at the small K-7 school in Oberon.  There are only about 50 students and most of them live on the “rez”, so it’s been a great way to get connected and get to know them.  Really enjoying that!

The Lord has also opened doors for me to be involved at the Dacotah Oyate Lutheran Church in Tokio (the same church where my Mom once helped).  They are a small group and very short of help, so I will be playing piano on Sundays and leading a youth Bible study on Wednesdays.

All of this is still in the beginning stages, so I look forward to updating you more as things get rolling . . . Thank you for your faithful prayers!
