I really enjoyed my radio time on Thursday . . . I think this might become a weekly project! Pastor Jeff met me at the station and I sat in with him while he recorded his message (also to be broadcast on Sunday morning). When he was finished, I got a crash-course on how to run the sound board and the CD players and took over to do my part geared towards the youth. “My part” involved introducing myself, playing about 45 minutes of Christian music (again, geared towards the youth), and sharing some inbetween the songs. Pastor Jeff was observing all of my frantic button-pushing and listening to what I shared, then he laughed and commented (after I turned the microphone off), “…you’re just having way too much fun with this!” It really was fun and it excites me to think about the possibilities as we speak Truth to Spirit Lake (and beyond!) over the KABU radio waves! Please pray that the Holy Spirit would speak through us and that hearts would be open to hear His truth! Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to listen online, but if you live in the area and want to listen in on Sundays (sometime between 8am and 2pm), tune in to 90.7 FM . . . we’ll be there. 🙂
