This past Wednesday, we had our first youth Bible study of the year…it was so good to be together again! I picked up two of the girls at the Fort Totten Recreational Center (a.k.a. “The Rec”), headed to Warwick to pick up one more, and ended up at the church in Tokio.
This year we’ll be going through some of the letters that Paul wrote (Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians). I thought that it would be good for the youth to know a little bit about Paul, so this past Wednesday we looked at Paul’s life and testimony and talked about his experience with Christ. It’s exciting and so amazing that the same power that changed Paul’s life thousands of years ago is alive, active, and still changing lives today! The girls were very interested in Paul’s life and I think they’re excited to learn. Please ask the Lord to speak to us as we study what it means to live as a follower of Jesus Christ.
None of the boys were at Bible study this past week, but I expect to see them at some point during the year. Three of them are in jail right now, so please remember them in your prayers. Ask the Lord to remind them of truth and make their hearts hungry for Him. Also, ask the Lord to surround them with others who are living for Christ and who will influence them for Him!
