. . . that's some of what we talked about last Wednesday at our Bible study in Tokio. We've been slowly reading through Philippians and we just finished chapter 2 (about having the same attitude as Christ). This past Wednesday was an especially encouraging time for me with the youth, partly because some who hadn't been there for many months returned (!), some who had never been there came for the first time (!), and several from the group that night seemed to have especially tender and hungry hearts to hear God's Word, listening intensely and soaking it up like sponges. I cannot tell you what a blessing it was to see the look in their eyes as they listened-so sincere. After struggling for a couple of weeks with some pretty intense discouragement (thanks so much to those of you who have been praying!), it gave me great hope to actually SEE this sincere hunger and to think about what the Lord might be teaching and revealing to the youth! Please continue to pray.
