Last year, the Tuesday Bible Study girls asked about packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.  It was late in the year, so we didn't get around to it . . . until this year.  The girls and I stocked up on supplies for the boxes and got together last week to pack them.  As they wrote letters, ate popcorn, and packed the boxes, we imagined who might be opening them next month.  We talked about different ways that the Lord could bless the kids who will receive those boxes.  When the boxes were packed and ready to go (one box for a little boy and one for a young girl), we each put our hands on them and asked the Lord to deliver each box to just the right child.  We prayed that the kids who open those boxes would sense the love of Jesus and invite Him into their lives.  It's exciting to see these young girls take steps towards being involved in ministry.  Ask the Lord to encourage them and bless them as they step out and serve others!
