Thanks for your patience, friends…I’m still here! Camp officially ended for the summer about two weeks ago and now another school year begins (on Monday!).
Christina and I just got back from a road trip to California, visiting some very dear friends and supporters there and along the way. It was great to see the country and enjoy the company and conversation with such amazing people…Cody and Jess, Sandy, Bri, Sarah and Andy…I love you guys and am so thankful for you!
Here are a couple more highlights from the past few weeks:
School girls at camp
Our last week of camp was an 8-9 year old camp…Paula made the rounds to pick up kids and we ended up with SEVEN school kids at camp that week. It was such a blessing to have each of them there and to watch the Lord work in their young hearts. Pray that the Lord would give us opportunities during the school year to encourage them in their faith!
Our kids from the Oberon school with Darcy (and Nathan!!)
Another end-of-the-summer highlight was Justin (below), a young man who grew up in a very traditional Native family and made a decision to give his life to Christ at camp! He had a hunger to know Jesus and an excitement to live for Him…ask the Lord to teach him and surround him with other Native believers who will encourage him in his new faith!
Thanks so much for your prayers over the summer, for your continued support, and for your encouragement about the year ahead. I’m looking forward to blogging on a more regular basis during the school year and keeping you more informed about daily life on the rez…I’m excited about what’s ahead!
