Wow . . . I haven’t had internet access for a few days and I feel like I’m way behind! Here’s a quick update:
I just got back from the State Basketball Tournament in Fargo. It was great to be there and cheer for the Four Winds boys. I was also blessed to have more relationship-building time with some of the youth and parents, sitting together, cheering, visiting, and making runs to the concessions stands together. 😉 We were all busy celebrating the win yesterday (Four Winds placed 5th) when I slowly started to realize that basketball is over for the year. As I mentioned before, these games have turned out to be an amazing time to get to see and know people in the community. I am so thankful for that . . . and at the same time, there is a sense of sadness to see it come to an end. The games have been my main way of seeing these people and connecting with them. No more basketball games until next year, so please pray that the Lord will provide new opportunities for my relationships with these dear people to grow and be strengthened!

In the midst of all of the basketball the past couple of weeks, I wanted to let you know that my “usual” weekly activities have still been taking place. Last week, we had several visitors (Haley on the far left and Christina in the middle) at our Wednesday-night youth group in Tokio, so that made the evening extra special. None of the boys were there, so please continue to pray for them and ask the Holy Spirit to stir in their hearts.

I’ve also still been busy with the younger girls who have Bible study on Tuesdays here in Oberon. One of the girls just lost her grandpa last week, so please keep her and her family in your prayers.
I am planning to be back at the radio station (KABU 90.7 FM) this coming week to record another youth program to air on Sunday. When Dave was visiting last week, I recruited him to do some LIVE music for the program! Please pray that the people listening would sense the power and peace of the Holy Spirit, even over the air waves!
That’s the brief version of what’s been going on here . . . thanks so much for your prayers!
