Just wanted to write a quick note to ask you all to continue to pray…

Last week, a 36-year old man was stabbed to death on the reservation and his funeral was yesterday morning.  Pastor Larry asked us to help with music, so Paula and I went to the service and sang.  I believe that sharing music in these difficult situations is an open door from the Lord and is an opportunity to share the truth and love of Christ with people who may not hear otherwise.  Please pray that the Lord would soften the hearts of the people who were there, protect them from deceit, and give them spiritual understanding.  Also ask the Lord to comfort the family and speak truth to them, even in the midst of their heartache.

One of the guys from the Tokio Bible study is a cousin of the man who was stabbed and after hearing about his cousin’s death, he tried to hang himself.  I’ve talked with him a couple of times since then and he seems to be doing better now, but please keep him in your prayers.  This young man knows the Lord and I have no doubt that God has amazing things in store for him.  I believe that the Lord wants to use him to influence others on this reservation and the enemy is working hard to ruin that.  Ask the Lord to protect this young man and finish the work that He has started.  Ask the Lord to encourage him and to continue to provide for him.

Thanks for trusting the Lord and looking to Him with us…

  1. Keep going, Naomi! You are a light in a dark place…..in a dark place that desperately needs light….keep going! God will use you to bear much fruit.
